And Behold, It Was Very Good: 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe
In the beginning, Hyundai built cheap cars. U.S. drivers said they were good (enough) and bought many. But the tinny Excels broke and quit running. Then Americans stopped buying them. Thus went Hyundai's first decade in the American market.

This article from Roy is better than last month's piece on the Dodge Challenger, which was just a re-hash of the obvious disguised as an early review. This preview was informative, and the photography was excellent.
The Genesis will have no problem finding buyers. This is a bargain coupe. If the Hyundai can hit 60 mph under 6 sec., have a nice cabin, and cost $25,000, it won't need to match an Infiniti. The Infiniti is a good model to chase after, too. The comparison tests I have read had the G37 and G35 sedan outclassing the BMW 335i and Cadillac CTS. Clearly, Infiniti is doing something right.
The Genesis doesn't look original. I would compare the coupe to a Chinese Infiniti G37 knockoff. The sedan blends the conservative exterior of the G35 and the Lexus LS460. In any case, this two-door sounds like a much-needed replacement for the Tiburon.

The Genesis Coupe seems very impressive indeed. Good first effort from Hyundai! If it turns out to be as good as the early reviews, then the replacement for this car will be awesome. I'll be keeping my eye on this cars progress.

I had a chance to drive the Genesis earlier this year when a Hyundai rep brought one to our dealership. very impressive vehicle, but I agree I am not entirely happy with the design. It doesn't stand out, but it seems to me that Hyundai is trying to emulate other makes in order to gain acceptance. (just my thoughts)
