Too bad I don’t have my 1967 Volvo P1800, 1968 Dodge Charger, 1953 Studebaker Starliner coupe, or 1969 Ford Mustang fastback to actually seek out parts for.
HERSHEY, Pa. —- Two things can always be counted on at the Antique Automobile Club of America’s national fall meet in this world center of the chocolate bar: A huge number of vendors, and rain.
The rain hit Thursday morning, but was gone by early afternoon and the crowds multiplied in a hurry to visit the more than 9,000 booths, check out the 2,000 cars in the Corral, and see what was entered for Saturday’s show. The AACA, with more than 50,000 members, does its’ best to make sure everyone who deserves a prize gets one: There are 111 classes represented here.
How do you find that elusive part? The program gives a code number for practically everything. Terraplanes, for example, can be found under 621, which refers you to Hudsons under 337. You’ll find 12 vendors there, along with the codes for their locations. Now all you have to do is walk a mile or two – and hope it doesn’t rain again.
