Those in the Business Think Aston’s DB9 is ‘The Business’

Aston Martin DB9 Front 3-4

When it comes to small talk at cocktail parties with strangers, automotive journalists are often a disappointing bunch. That is, they're asked "So, Mr. Car Writer, what do you drive?" Invariably, the answer for most scribes is the some sort of common workaday iron, or maybe an obscure vintage model from a British concern that most have never heard of (or cared to). It would seem that everyone expects car critics to have something like the Aston Martin DB9 shown above in their driveways.

Well, while that's hardly the case, Winding Road staffers (along with the rest of the automotive business) likely wouldn't mind if that were true. The proof? Industry recruiter InAutomotive.com has just released the results to a survey in which they asked their 1,200 members what car they covet most.

Aston's DB9 took fully 30 percent of the votes, followed by Porsche's evergreen 911 (18 percent), and Audi's TT (15 percent).

Curiously, only one respondent opted for the Bugatti Veyron.
