Hondajet Production Announcement Today?

Honda has been publicly tinkering with the idea of entering the world of aircraft for better than a year now, having flown its experimental Hondajet last July for the media for the first time last July. But now, it appears that a production version of the six-passenger Hondajet is eminent.

The jet would appear to continue the company's penchant for doing more, with less. To wit: The Hondajet is said to be faster than its chief competition, the Cessna CJ1+, while boasting a significantly larger interior and massively improved range. What's more, it reportedly does all of this on less thrust, which should help its fuel economy numbers.

If approved, the six-passenger jet will compete against aforementioned aircraft like the CJ1+, for the nascent micro-jet market, which is primarily used for smaller executive and air taxi transport.
