Video Survey: Ask GM Your Corvette ZR1 and Hummer HX Questions
Some days are just better than others in the world of automotive journalism. Though we like to think that we have some of the best jobs going here at WINDING ROAD, there are certain occasions where things get ramped up to damn near perfect.
For example, tomorrow morning we’ve been granted permission to stop by the General Motors Design HQ and have a poke around two of the hottest new products on the planet, the Corvette ZR-1 and Hummer’s still unseen HX Concept.
So in addition to shooting some video and taking several thousand pictures, we’d thought we’d pass along the opportunity for our readers to get involved in the process. So we ask you, what questions do you have about the super Vette and the newest Hummer? Something you’d like to see? A fact that you just can’t ferret out?

How does the car (ZR1) look in person? Does it have the prescense in person that we're all hoping it does? This is always one of those things that you just can't tell... I know the Ferrari 599 looks good in pictures, but just flat bowled me over when I saw it in person...
... and LOTS OF PICTURES! I'd be particularly curious to see some close shots of; the carbon roof, the fit of the window from underneath the hood, inside of front wheel wells, and some shots of the rear aero bodywork (upper and lower)...

1) What is the target price range for the HX
2) What engines are GM planning to use for the HX
3) Does Hummer plan on having multiple trim levels of the HX, beyond just the standard HX & HX Alpha. Note this doesn't mean limited edition models with color keyed mirrors & bumpers, but honest-to-goodness trim levels.
4) Can I get one (either one) for free :)
Question #4 is by far the most important.

Are those gun-slot windows the final draft for the HX? I've seen bigger windows on an armored truck.

What type of gas millage are we talking about on the ZR-1? When will they hit the showroom floor? Price?

how does the center of gravity of the zr1 compare to the zo6 and z51 vettes? besides the spring rates and damper setting, are there any other changes to the suspension? geometry changes? pickup points moved?
pictures of the underside of the car and brake ducts would be awesome
also be sure to ask whoever you talk to (assuming he is not just some marketing a hole) what his favorite detail of the zr1 is.
also, wtf took GM so long to make a wrangler competitor?

1.What is the expected price range for the hx?
2.Will the hx be available with onstar?
3.like the wrangler will the hx offer any extended or truck versions in the near future?
4.will the hx be offered in base/adventure/and luxury trim levels

Last question.) even though this question is completely unrelated
to the hx or zr1 but I heard some rumors on the internet earlier
last year that gm was considering a 4 door corvette were these just rumors or an actual possible addition to the corvette line???

Why the see thru hood on the ZR1, just to see a piece of plastic that covers the engine?

Any chance the ZR1 will have a switch to raise the car when parking, so the obviously high dollar spoiler will miss the parking stops. My SL does this.

Evidently, HX is a best-class car having no rivals as ir is not a stupid SUV - this is more than even croos-country vehicle, customizable and xpressive looking!
I like this car!
So, please, what do GM plans? How long will we need this impressive real-off-road monster on the market?
