Ex-Ford Engineer Builds Massive Wooden Trucks

centerwood.jpg

74-year-old Chuck Hoggarth is most likely putting all other Ford retirees to shame this year, at least as far as scratch awls and hygrometers go. Hoggarth did 46 years at Ford Motor Company before retiring to work on his real hobby: woodworking. He eventually turned to crafting heavy equipment models, which led to a one-foot long truck and trailer. Fast forward a few years to the present day--Hoggarth's wooden creations are four times the size of most woodworking pattern models. The above Kenworth truck and trailer is twelve feet long by three feet high.

Wow. That's impressive. I bet he'd find customers on ebay.
