Original General Lee Going Up for Sale
The Dukes of Hazzard’s General Lee is part representative of Southern culture, part fantasy for every American boy – well, those born in the era – and part auto icon. The General Lee, like KITT, was the real star of the show.
Now, the 1969 Dodge Charger General Lee will be up for grabs in the April issue of The DuPont Registry magazine. This is the original, not the General Lee used in episode 94 “Hazzard Hustle

I hate that car--it's ugly. How many General Lees are there? Forty? Then you have the thousands of wannabes who try to sell their junk on eBay (and no one ends up buying).

I think Cooter said there were more than that. But if they've got proof that this is the one from the opening credits, then that's pretty impressive.
I met Cooter at his place in Virginia (it's since been closed up) and he had at least one General on site. He also had the biggest collection of Dukes memorabilia I've ever imagined. My car club went out there on a Sunday drive and he couldn't have been nicer. Even had a mountain bluegrass band jamming away on an outdoor stage.

I once saw a Mini tricked out to look like a Mini Gen. Lee.

To: Dustin P. Walsh,
If you remember the General Lee being the star of the show, I'd suggest you re-watch some of the episodes. This time pay particular attention to Catherine Bach.
