Chinese Car Market Up 25-Percent Year-To-Date

China's automobile sector continues to grow at a breakneck pace. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers announced today that the country has assembled 4.64 million vehicles thus far this year (through the end of August), which represents an increase of 25.37 percent. Actual sales are up similarly, bumped to 24.58 percent to 4.53 million vehicles.

The association noted particularly strong sales in the sedan segment, with increases of over 40 percent.
