How does a manual transmission get LESS fuel mileage than an automatic? I’m kind of looking at the TSX and the Lexus IS and both automatics in each car get higher gas mileage than the 6 speed manuals.

The $30K price tag is too steep for the numbers the TSX is putting out there. Somehow I find it more acceptable with the Lexus IS250, but that is an older sedan. I expect Acura to have a base model luxury sedan with more power than a Honda Accord.
