Thirty years ago, some friends had their version of a smoke screen equipped vehicle in high school. It was a van, the kind with the engine between the front seats. They would open the engine cover, pull the air cleaner, and drizzle some motor oil into the carburetor as the street light turned green. Apparently, it made a spectacular cloud on departure.
