eBay Auction of the Day (Bonus Edition): 1986 Honda Accord Limousine

1986-honda-accord-limohl.jpg

Causing quite a stir at the WINDING ROAD offices today is this fine example of a 1986 Honda Accord limousine.

Clearly built by a craftsman with a taste for the finer things in life, the stretched Accord has been assembled with a loving hand, and a deft touch. We’re thinking that a sawzall, some Bondo, and a smattering of Big League Chew came into play as well.

(Click through the jump to read more about the Accord limo or on the thumbnails below to launch a gallery of images.)

The seller claims that the limo is in fine running condition save some balky turn signals and sticky power windows. The Honda engine has only clocked 102,000 miles, so the buyer is likely to get many more years of motoring bliss out of it.

Well, not bliss exactly. The exterior of the car has certainly seen better days with a cracked sunroof, peeling paint, and some surface rust. But the real trouble lies in the bowels of the car, where it seems as though a pair of heavy smokers had a gravy fight. That is to say it’s rather dingy.

Warts and all, the Accord limo is on its second to last day of auction, though at this point it would take a miracle to reach the seller’s reserve price of $1,200 (revealed at the bottom of the listing). Perhaps you have what it takes? Happy bidding.

Im ashamed to admit that there is something like this down the street from my loft. I'd stop and take some pictures, but I risk being shot at.

This beats the MKII Jetta (a '92 I think) 6-door "limo" I ran across a few months ago.... and it only managed to fit one additional seat, and had no drivetrain.

[...] This 1986 example seems to have been tuned for greater performance, adding an Alpine intercooler, cross-drilled brake rotors, even a Halon fire system should things get way out of control. [...]
